La Aldea: Historias para pensar el país was imagined alongside Colombia 2020. This book composed of eight stories first circulated as fascicles in the newspaper El Espectador. The book is a reflection of community life where the protagonists are Colombian animals. It is a mirror of society and an invitation for children and young people to immerse themselves in conversations and reflections on the world around them.

The book received the 2019 Academic’s Choice Award Smart Media, which is awarded to educational products that promote learning tools for children and teenagers. According to the jury of this award, each chapter shows differences in thinking, teamwork, skills, and adaptability of each member of the community, as well as how we can relate to our own communities, families, and friends. In addition, the illustrations encourage analysis, reading, writing, drawing and imagination.
