Campesino populations are considered one of the main victims of the armed conflict in Colombia. This is because forced displacement is the most common victimizing event, and because armed confrontation took place mostly in rural areas and in remote regions. This graphic novel seeks to shed light on the dignity of campesinos, not only as victims, but also as subjects of resistance, resilience and positive transformations.
The stories found here are inspired by the testimonies given during the meeting “The field tells the truth,” organized by the Truth Commission on December 12th and 13th, 2019 in Cabrera, (Cundinamarca).
